Choose sunglasses to suit your style and face shape
Start with the look you want: an everyday classic, a vintage accent or a statement pair for festivals and holidays. Aviators and round frames offer familiar shapes, while cat eye, oversized and playful designs make your sunglasses a focal point of your outfit. Consider the frame silhouette, lens colour and UV rating separately to find the right combination for you.
Find your favourite frame shape
- Classic aviators: The recognisable pilot shape adds a relaxed finish to casual outfits. Choose these when you want a timeless alternative to angular rectangular frames.
- Retro round frames: Circular frames in metal or plastic bring a vintage feel to your look. Their curved outline is a good choice when you want a softer contrast to strong, angular features.
- Cat eye sunglasses: Upswept corners create a defined, glamorous silhouette. Choose this shape to give a simple outfit a more dressed up finish without going oversized.
- Oversized frames: Large frames put the emphasis on your sunglasses and create a dramatic look. They work especially well when you want one bold accessory to lead your holiday styling.
- Playful festival styles: Heart shapes, geometric designs and coloured lenses offer a more expressive alternative to everyday classics. Pick a shape or tint that echoes your outfit, or use it as a contrasting accent.
Balance your features without following rigid rules
For a round face, square or rectangular frames can add visual structure. Round and oval shapes can soften the appearance of a more angular face. Oval faces offer plenty of room to experiment with different silhouettes, while cat eye or rimless styles are options for balancing a wider forehead on a heart-shaped face.
These are starting points, not restrictions. If you prefer a bold frame or an unexpected shape, let your personal style guide the choice.
Choose between a subtle retro look and a statement pair
Slim rectangular sunglasses bring a 90s feel to everyday styling and offer a less oversized silhouette. For a brighter accent, yellow, pink and blue tinted lenses add colour to festival outfits and summer party looks.
For a more distinctive vintage direction, the gold coloured steampunk sunglasses with a flip function offer a unisex option. Pair their characterful design with retro clothing, or let them stand out against a simple modern outfit.
Consider UV protection as well as appearance
The collection includes sunglasses with UV400 protection. Treat the UV rating as a separate choice from frame size or lens colour: an oversized shape describes the frame, while a coloured tint describes the look of the lens. Neither is a UV rating on its own.
Sunglasses FAQs
What does UV400 mean?
UV400 means the lenses block ultraviolet wavelengths up to 400 nanometres, covering UVA and UVB. It describes the lens protection rather than the frame shape or how dark the lenses look.
Do oversized sunglasses give more coverage?
Yes. Larger frames cover more of the area around the eyes than smaller frames. That extra coverage is separate from UV protection, so frame size alone does not tell you the lens UV rating.
Which lens tints should I choose for driving?
Standard grey, brown or green tints are preferable to strongly coloured lenses that can distort traffic light colours. Very dark Category 4 lenses are not suitable for driving.
